Greenhouse is a proposal Bar / Cafe design for UWTSD. As a past student I noticed that the uni didn't have its own designated bar unlike the other local uni that had one on campus. due to the nature of each of UWTSD's buildings being spread across Swansea City and further. it seemed fitting for this location to also be its own entity. By placing it in Swanseas best known street - Wind Street - it would be a central and smart location.
I wanted to connect the design to student life and ended up with a name called ‘GREENHOUSE’. This connection stems from the crude stereotype of uni students and smoking cannabis as well as the idea of juvenile growth and development as a young adult.
